The mission of U.S. Food and Drug Administration is to protect and advance public health through safety, efficacy, and the quality
of the products it regulates. FDA regulated products require stringent research standards. They work to ensure scientific credibility,
integrity, accuracy and predictability of the products they approve. Unlike the marijuana you can purchase at any dispensary that
was grown without any restrictions on pesticides, herbicides and other cancer causing chemicals.
Let’s be clear. No medicine is voted
on by the general public. Voters don’t have the knowledge or expertise to decide what is and is not a medicine, that is what the FDA
is for and they said very clearly that marijuana has no medicinal value.
If medical marijuana advocates truly believe that marijuana
has medicinal value then why don’t they do the required research and submit it to the FDA for evaluation? Yet, we are no longer talking
about medical marijuana, they are now trying to legalize marijuana outright, but what does recreational use have to do with medicine?
Medical marijuana is the largest scam ever to be perpetrated against the people of California in our history. It is in fact the most
prolific con job this state has ever seen.
We know full marijuana legalization was the intended goal all along. We voted on it in
2010. Prop 19 would have legalized marijuana outright. Although it was clearly defeated, and should have sent a strong message, it
didn’t stop San Francisco’s corrupt politician’s. We also know the goal is to decriminalize all illicit drugs including heroin and
cocaine.
Senator Mark Leno, a long time friend of Lt. Governor Gavin Newsom, introduced
SB 649, the decriminalization of heroin and
cocaine use and sales. Assemblyman Tom Ammiano, also a long time friend of Newsom’s has introduced AB 473, a bill that would legitimize
marijuana use and sales. (
AB 473 recently went up in smoke)
Lt. Governor Gavin Newsom along with the Chair of our Public Safety Committee
Assemblyman Tom Ammiano, and the former Chair of the Public Safety Committee Senator Mark Leno are using their positions in our state
legislature to further the agenda of marijuana groups funded by drug money, and in return that same money is funding the political
campaigns on Newsom, Leno and Ammiano.
Let’s get something very clear. Lt. Governor Gavin Newsom didn’t flip flop on the issue of
marijuana legalization, as Debra Saunders- naively suggests in her op/ed titled "
Newsom turns a new leaf on marijuana". His campaign
contributions prove his long connection to marijuana legalization groups and individuals. Newsom simply waited for the right time
to announce his support. He believes that time is now.
There is a systematic attempt to undermine our drug laws by San Francisco’s
corrupt politicians, despite the fact that they are violating their oath of office and the constitutional rights of millions of California
residents.
Over 240 California cities have banned marijuana dispensaries. 85.5% of cities and counties have banned it outright, and
recently the California Supreme Court upheld this right. More children in California use marijuana than all other drugs combined.
Today’s marijuana is 150% stronger then the 70’s and 80’s and is the leading cause of serious mental illness including schizophrenia.
Marijuana is the number 1 drug involved in drugged driving cases.
It’s time to call out Lt. Governor Gavin Newsom, and the other two
members of San Francisco's Emerald Triangle on their blatant attempt to use their positions to cause serious harm to the
people of California, while the marijuana lobby continue to fund their political campaigns with cartel drug money.
