The goal of drug legalization advocates historically has been to convince the general public that marijuana is a harmless plant. Of course, they are fully aware of the fact that so called “medical” marijuana is grossly abused, and store front dispensaries are nothing more than legitimized (Prop 215) drug dealing operations. In September of 2006, the California Healthcare Collective located on McHenry Avenue in Modesto was raided by law enforcement and it’s owners Luke Scarmozzo and Ricardo Montes were both arrested for selling marijuana to people without a valid recommendation. Law enforcement seized guns, thousands of dollars in cash, raided 7 homes and confiscated a $170,000 Mercedes, despite the fact that “medical” marijuana dispensaries are suppose to be set up as non profits. Clearly that is not the case.

 

 We now have a new group advocating for yet another marijuana dispensary in Modesto. “The Prop 215 Information Center” and it’s director Mark Gray has offered to pay the city 5 percent of the proceeds if he’s allowed to open the dispensary, according to Gray, he just wants the city to have a piece of the

action so to speak. The City of Modesto passed an ordinance in 2006 prohibiting pot dispensaries, which Mark Gray is fully aware of. Maybe that’s why he offered the bribe.

 

So called “medical” marijuana is the largest scam ever to be perpetrated against the people of California, in it’s history. It is in fact the most prolific con job this state has ever seen and we, the people are it’s intended target and victim.

 

One only has to go to Craigslist, and  type in “Prop 215” to find over 150 marijuana delivery services available in Stanislaus County. Legalizers are aware that anyone can get a medical marijuana card for a fee. A simple Bing or Google search using the key works “pot docs California” will deliver over 43 million responses to this inquiry. It doesn’t matter that marijuana is the number one cause of teen’s entering drug treatment centers across the country, they see our teens as a means to an end, to be able to recreationally smoke pot without consequence. Our teens are acceptable casualties.

 

Drug legalization advocates have infiltrated our state capitol, often paying thousands of dollars to state legislators under the guise of donations. The Drug Policy Alliance paid out tens of thousands to elected representatives including Senator Mark Leno (D-San Francisco). Leno is currently working to undermine the rights of California employers to fire employees who test positive for marijuana use by introducing SB 129, and this is not the first time Leno has attempted to undermine California businesses.

 

Assemblyman Tom Ammiano is the current chair of the Assembly Public Safety Committee, his motives are anything but in the best interest of the publics safety. In January 2010, Ammiano, along with 3 other public safety members, all democrats, voted to approve a bill to legalize marijuana. Our Public Safety Committee chairman and 3 other members of this important committee, whose job it is to protect California residents, voted to approve the legalization of marijuana, despite unlimited information on the harms associated with it’s use.  This committee is not a public safety committee as the name implies, it is in fact a public endangerment committee with the intent of causing harm.

 

Without “medical” marijuana, full legalization would not be possible. If it was ever truly about helping the ‘sick’ and ‘dying” as Prop 215 advocates would have liked us to believe back in 1996, they would be willing to go through the FDA process, instead of deliberately avoiding it. The mission of U S Food and Drug Administration is the protection and advancement of public health through safety, efficacy, and quality of the products it regulates. FDA regulated products require advanced technology and research standards. The FDA works to “ensure the acceptance of science-led regulatory decisions by the U.S. consumer and the respective scientific communities and thus maintaining scientific credibility, integrity, accuracy and predictability of the products they approve.”
